Clearinghouse coding complete
In 2007, attorneys representing blind and visually impaired persons entered into structured negotiations with 7-Eleven stores. On October 31, 2007, the parties entered into a settlement agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, 7-Eleven agreed to put equipment in every store in the U.S. so that blind people can enter PINs (secret codes) when using debit cards. All 7-Eleven Point of Sale devices will have keypads (like telephone keypads with a raised dot on the five key) by the end of 2009.
