"Two lawsuits concern the delivery of medical and mental-health services to prisoners at the California Women's Institution at Frontera. Whisman v. McCarthy, No. OCV-33860 (Super. Ct., San Bernardino County) and Doe v. CDC, A-Civ.-89-598-GLT (C.D. Cal....Doe deals with the treatment of HIV-positive prisoners at CWI. Discovery continues. Substantial changes have occurred in the DOC policy that have changed the posture of the case."
