On May 8, 2018, alongside other civil rights organizations, PRRAC filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump Administration’s suspension of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule and obligation to submit an Assessment of Fair Housing, for over 900 jurisdictions (the vast majority of cities, counties and towns subject to the rule). Co-counsel in the case are the Lawyers’ Committee, Relman Dane and Colfax, NAACP LDF, ACLU, and Public Citizen, representing the National Fair Housing Alliance, Texas Housers, and Texas Appleseed. Together, we seek to restore this important civil rights rule and the affirmative commitment to advance equality, nondiscrimination, and desegregation throughout our country.
