Pence is a federal court challenge to Indiana's ban on same-sex marriage, filed March 7, 2014, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, on behalf of four same-sex couples, two of whom were legally married out-of-state and seeking to have their marriages recognized by the state of Indiana, and two unmarried couples seeking the freedom to marry in Indiana.
