A class action lawsuit has been filed in federal court in Denver alleging that, during the protests in Denver in May and June 2020, the Denver police wrongfully arrested protestors for violation of the nighttime curfew, in violation of their right to freedom of speech and expression.
The Court has certified this class action, and this lawsuit represents certain classes of people impacted by the law enforcement misconduct set forth in the lawsuit and not just the named Plaintiffs.
