Resource: Case of Husayn (Abu Zubaydah) v. Poland

By:

July 24, 2014

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) judgment and opinion in the case of Husayn (Abu Zubaydah) versus Poland. Mr. Husayn originally lodged an application with the ECHR against Poland under Article of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. The ECHR's decision in Mr. Husayn's favor led to the Polish government re-opening the investigation into Mr. Husayn's alleged torture at a CIA black-site facility in Poland and an effort to subpoena CIA contractors via federal court in the United States.
