Resource: Justice Department Ends Half-Century-Old Desegregation Cases in Florida and Mississippi

A press release announcing the dismissal of two segregation cases in counties that historically segregated their schools. The permanent injunction requiring Hendry County to end de jure segregation began in 1975. With the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division announcing the need for oversight had ended, the case was dismissed with prejudice.
