This document is a guide to the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse’s Traffic Stop Litigation collection, which gathers information about dozens of large-scale lawsuits challenging traffic stop policies and practices. It is intended as a finding aid to assist litigants, advocates, policy makers, and members of the public searching for, making sense of, and using the documents and case information in the collection. This guide also provides some background on traffic stops and relevant law and offers additional resources on the topic.
