This Clearinghouse entry includes three cases filed in 2023 in New Jersey state court by the Attorney General of New Jersey against the school districts and boards of education of three towns--Middletown Township, Manalapan-Englishtown, and Marlboro Township. The Attorney General sought to enjoin the school districts' policies whereby schools disclosed to parents when their transgender children began to socially transition. The Attorney General alleged that such policies violated protections for transgender students under the state's anti-discrimination law.
