On December 16, 2025, Doctor Jeanne Marrazzo, former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAD) at the National Institute of Health (NIH) filed suit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy, the National Institute of Healths, and private actors associated with these organizations. In her complaint, Dr. Marrazzo alleges that she was involuntarily removed from this position on March 31, 2025, followed by a termination on September 26, 2025. Dr. Marrazzo excelled as NIAID Director and received the highest possible performance ratings for her outstanding work. During her time, Dr. Marrazzo engaged in whistleblower activities and was removed from her role.
