On February 10, 2026, a group of Latinx plaintiffs sued state and federal actions working on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) efforts in Idaho in U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. In their complaint, plaintiffs allege that at a large Latino gathering, a sizable group of law enforcement officers raided their event. They allegedly rounded up the entire crowd, zip-tied most of the adults and many teenagers, and ordered everyone onto the track, detaining the crowd of hundreds for four hours. Plaintiffs claim the mass seizure of the crowd was not merely incident to the execution of a narrow search warrant. Instead, the defendants in this action conspired to abuse a criminal search warrant as cover to go fishing for immigration arrests at an event where they knew they would encounter a large number of Latino individuals.
