On October 3, 2024, the Civil Rights Division filed a complaint alleging that an apartment property’s owners and managers discriminated against Black people in violation of the Fair Housing Act by posting and enforcing a complete ban on tenants with certain criminal convictions. However, under the new administration, the Division dismissed the case on April 14, 2025 without any explanation.
