New to the Clearinghouse: Cases on Reparations

We are building our collection of cases related to reparations, a new "case type" in the Clearinghouse. All of the cases in the collection are here.

The collection includes: multi-district litigation brought by formerly enslaved and descendants of formerly enslaved people suing various corporate defendants for unjustly profiting off of the institution of slavery; a lawsuit that resulted in an injunction prohibiting the Secretary of Health and Human Services from including the Austrian reparations payments to victims of Nazi persecution in calculating eligibility for Supplemental Security Income; a challenge to the City of Evanston's reparations program, and many more cases in process.
