Law360, New York (April 7, 2017, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Foreign workers who sued Signal International over alleged human trafficking have reached settlements with two law firms and an attorney who were also defendants in the litigation, leading a Louisiana federal judge to dismiss the cases Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan granted a joint motion filed Thursday by Malvern C. Burnett, the Law Offices of Malvern C. Burnett and the Gulf Coast Immigration Law Center LLC, along with guest workers in seven related cases, to dismiss the cases with prejudice. The parties said they had concluded a deal after lengthy negotiations.
