On January 3, 1979, the United Stated Department of Justice sued jail officials for the Union Parish of Louisiana, under 28 U.S.C. § 1345, 13 U.S.C. § 1227, and 31 U.S.C. § 1242, in a civil action to desegregate the Union Parish jail and to remedy the effects of past discrimination. On January 8, 1979, there was a consent decree in the case, including a plan of prisoner classification, and the case was closed thereafter. We have no further information on this case.
