This lawsuit challenged a nursing home's failure to disclose documents and information relating to the abuse/neglect investigation of patients residing in its facilities. The Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service, Inc. (MPAS), brought this action for declaratory and injunctive relief pursuant to the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness Act of 1986; Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000; and the Protection and Advocacy of Individual Rights (PAIR), Program of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
