On January 29, 2026, Plaintiffs - President Donald Trump, his sons Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization - filed this lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the Internal Revenue Service. Plaintiffs sought at least $10 billion in damages as recompense after Charles "Chaz" Littlejohn, a former IRS contractor, illegally accessed and disclosed their confidential tax returns and related information between May 2019 and September 2020. They also sought punitive damages, attorney's fees, and costs.
