Case Summary

[This summary is temporary while we research the case.]

This case challenges federal agencies’ implementation of an executive order directing them to compile and disclose state-specific lists of adult U.S. citizens to state election officials. EPIC alleges that the program unlawfully consolidates and shares sensitive personal information, violates the Privacy Act, Social Security Act, and APA, and exceeds the Executive Branch’s constitutional authority over voter qualifications and election administration.
