Case Summary

(This summary is temporary while we research the case.)

On December 19, 2024, Plaintiffs - U.S. citizens stranded in Gaza - filed this lawsuit against President Joseph R. Biden and members of his cabinet in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Plaintiffs alleged that the Biden administration had abandoned Americans of Palestinian national origin
while extending protection and prompt evacuation to similarly situated Americans of different national origins within Gaza. Plaintiffs sought to compel Defendants to fulfill their statutory obligations, ensuring the same effort is made to evacuate them as was given to similarly situated Americans.

This case is ongoing.
