MINUTE ORDER: Before the Court is Isaac N.'s Unopposed Motion to Substitute Katy Saehler with Kerry Simpson as Plaintiff Isaac N's Next Friend. ECF No. 37 . A next friend must meet two requirements: (1) the next friend "must provide an adequate explanation such as inaccessibility, mental incompetence, or other disability why the real party in interest cannot appear on his own behalf to prosecute the action"; and (2) the next friend "must be truly dedicated to the best interests of the person on whose behalf he seeks to litigate." Whitmore v. Arkansas, 495 U.S. 149, 163-64 (1990). Here, Isaac is a minor and unable to prosecute this case on his own. Kerry Simpson is also Isaac's guardian ad litem and maintains a close a relationship with Isaac. ECF No. 37 at 2. As such, the Motion, ECF No. 37, is GRANTED.
