Case Summary

(This summary is temporary while we investigate the case further). In the spring and summer of 2025, the DOJ Civil Rights Division sent a series of seven letters to the University of Virginia, alleging that the University had failed to adequately protect students from antisemitism and probing into the school's admission policies, DEI practices, and hiring practices. In October 2025, the University and DOJ reached an agreement to end the investigations.
