Litigation Against Federal Police (2020)

In the spring and summer of 2020, the Trump administration mobilized many federal law enforcement agents against protesters in Washington DC, Portland, Chicago and other cities. Federal Protective Service, ICE, CBP, Park Police, and other officers were accused of acting outside their statutory authority, of retaliating against people exercising free speech rights, of arresting individuals without probable cause, and of excessive force. The lawsuits in this special collection followed.
