Case Summary

(This summary is temporary while we research the case further). On August 12, 2025, the DOJ Civil Rights Division found that George Washington University was deliberately indifferent to antisemitic discrimination.

Notably, this finding was announced just months after the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) had completed its own investigation and entered into a voluntary compliance agreement with the University to resolve findings addressing discrimination against Jewish and Palestinian students.
