This collection includes civil lawsuits arising out of the events of January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol; they reflect a range of legal claims. Some were filed by police officers and others seeking damages from individuals who participated in the breach or from those alleged to have incited or organized it, including suits against President Trump in his personal capacity. Others were filed by individuals who entered the Capitol or participated in surrounding events, raising claims against the government related to their arrests, detention conditions, or treatment during prosecution.
