In August 2003, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Wilmington brought this Title VII suit on behalf of the EEOC against Rite Aid Pharmacy Corporation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The complaint alleged that the defendant discriminated against the claimant because of her religion (Islam). More specifically, the defendant allegedly refused to allow the claimant to take time off for a religious holiday and terminated her thereafter because of her religion. The defendant filed a motion for summary judgment in July 2004, and the court entered summary judgment in favor of the defendant in December 2005. No other information was made available pertaining to the nature of the suit.
