Case Summary

The Milwaukee District Office of the EEOC brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, against Seagate Technology. The complaint was filed in June 2002 and the EEOC alleged that a complainant was discriminated against based on his disability, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In August 2003 Defendant moved for summary judgment. Defendant's motion for summary judgment was granted in October 2003 and the case was dismissed. The EEOC then gave notice of appeal in December 2003 but the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit dismissed the appeal pursuant to the EEOC's request.
