Case Summary

In September 2005, the Seattle District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Fred Meyers Stores in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. The complaint alleged that the defendant subjected the charging party, a female employee, to sexual harassment in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. After a scheduling order and a discovery dispute, it appears that the parties reached a settlement in August 2006, voluntarily dismissing the case. We do not have a copy of the settlement agreement; therefore, the exact terms of the settlement are unknown.
