The Richmond, Charlotte and Washington DC Offices of the EEOC brought this lawsuit against T&D Electric Company of Burlington, Inc in the United States District Court of the Middle District of North Carolina in September 2006. The complaint alleged sexual harassment and constructive discharge in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In January 2007, the defendants filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and the case was administratively closed in February 2007. In May 2007, the plaintiff moved to reopen the case, which had remained unresolved as of April 22, 2008.
