In March 2002, the EEOC's Philadelphia District Office filed this suit against Central Bucks Specialist in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. We do not have a copy of the complaint. However, according to an EEOC press release, the complaint alleged that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by retaliating against the charging party, a female receptionist, in response to her complaint of sexual harassment. Specifically, the defendant disciplined the charging party, eliminated her job duties, and eventually terminated her after her complaint of discrimination. Although we do not have a copy of the consent decree, it appears from the press release that the defendant was required to pay the charging party $50,000 in damages.
