Case Summary

In September 2002, the San Antonio (along with the San Diego) office of the EEOC brought this Title VII suit against NBC Management, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The complaint alleged that the defendant discriminated against the claimant by retaliating against the claimant by discharging her for assisting her husband in filing a complaint of discrimination against the defendant. The case settled by entry of a consent decree in June 2003.

The three year consent decree required the defendant to pay the claimant $14,000, refrain from retaliation, distribute notice, and provide training for managers, supervisors, and employees with authority to make personnel decisions.
