Case Summary

The EEOC's Memphis office filed this suit on March 20, 2003 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee (Memphis). The EEOC alleged that defendant McKesson Corporation violated Title VII by subjecting two female employees to sexual harassment and retaliation. The complaint is not available.

The case was set for a September 27, 2004 trial. On May 7, 2004 defendant filed a motion for partial summary judgment. The court granted the motion on June 24, 2004, dismissing a claim that defendant failed to post a statutorily required notice. A consent decree was entered on September 14, 2004. The defendant agreed to pay the two complainants $30,000 each. Defendant also agreed to provide training for its employees, post notice of EEO rights and report to the EEOC regarding complaints received.
