The San Antonio District Office of the EEOC brought this action in the U.S. District Office for the Western District of Texas, against Hill Country Memorial Hospital. The complaint, filed in August 1999, alleged sex discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; specifically that the charging party had been subjected to a sexually hostile work environment and that she had been forced to resign her position because of her sex. We do not have a copy of the complaint in this case.

In April 2000 the charging party intervened and in June 2000 the Defendant moved for summary judgment. The Defendants motion for summary judgment was denied in July 2000 and the parties entered a consent decree in September 2000. The decree was signed by the judge one month later and was valid for one year. The decree required the Defendant to pay $90,000 to the intervenor plaintiff, to provide 2 hours of EEO training to its employees, and to post a notice of non-discrimination in its facility.
