The Los Angeles district office of the EEOC brought this suit against Nevada Advertising, LLC, and Golden West Advertising, Inc., advertising companies, in September 2006, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. The complaint alleged that defendants had sexually harassed a female complainant and had retaliated against her and a male complainant for complaining about the harassment and the hostile work environment it created. The parties settled by entry of consent decree in September 2007.Under the terms of the consent decree, which is valid for three years, the defendants are prohibited from discriminating or retaliating. The defendants must revise their anti-discrimination policy and develop a process of taking and tracking discrimination complaints. They must post and distribute their policy to employees as well as provide anti-discrimination training to all employees. The decree also requires record-keeping and reporting to the EEOC on any changes made to the policy and on discrimination complaints that are made. The defendants also paid $58,250 to the complainants by the terms of the decree. The docket sheet doesn't show any further enforcement took place; the case was presumably closed in 2010.
