On May 15, 2008, the court (Judge Florence-Marie Cooper) approved a class settlement consent decree requiring the defendant to pay a total of $625,000 to the charging party and to others similarly situated. Injunctive relief in the form of non-discrimination and anti-retaliation provisions and the creation of an officer/trainer position for the purposes of assuring equality in the workplace was also included.
The decree was entered in 2008 and scheduled to last 2010. No further docket entries exist, so the case is closed.
