The Los Angeles office of the EEOC brought this suit against Rifu Apparel Corporation, Kyungseung (Saipan), Inc., Poong In (Saipan), Inc., and L & S Apparel Corporation in September of 2006 in the United States District Court for the District of Northern Mariana Islands. The complaint alleged that the defendants discriminated against female employees after they became pregnant in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The EEOC and Poong In, Inc. entered a consent decree in September of 2007; The EEOC and Rifu Apparel Corporation, Kyungseung, Inc. and L & S Apparel Corporation entered a consent decree in January of 2008 after a settlement conference. The four-year decrees included non-discrimination and non-retaliation clauses, required the defendants to revise anti-discrimination policies as necessary, post notice of employees' rights, distribute notice of rights, and provide training to managers, supervisors, and human resource personnel on employment discrimination. The defendants were also required to report complaints to the EEOC on an annual basis, keep records of documents relating to complaints and the anti-discrimination policy. The injunctive part of the decree had a four year term. In addition, the defendants agreed to pay $120,000 to eight women. On April 1, 2008, the EEOC filed a notice notifying the court of the defendants' compliance with the monetary provisions of the consent decree. As there is no further activity on the docket, presumably the case closed in 2012.
