In September 2004, the Seattle District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against RLS, Inc., d/b/a Sebo's Do-It-Center, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. The three-year decree prohibited the defendant from retaliating and required the defendant to: provide the charging party with a positive employment reference, impose appropriate discipline upon those who discriminate, appoint an EEO coordinator, revise its employee appraisal process to include evaluation of employees' commitment to equal employment opportunity, provide sexual harassment training for all its employees, report to the EEOC at specified intervals, and pay $120,000 to the charging party.
