The Boston District Office brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, against Lin Television Corporation d/b/a WTHN and Local 14 of the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians ñ Communications Workers of America. The complaint, filed in September 2004, alleged sex and race discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, specifically that Defendants had failed to promote the charging party, retaliated against her and constructively discharged her because of her sex (female) and race (African American). The parties entered into a consent decree in June 2006.

The decree, valid until December 31, 2007, required Defendants to pay the charging party $15,000 and provide her with a neutral employment reference. Defendants were required to post a notice of non-discrimination and provide two hours of Title VII training to management employees. The decree was to last for 19 months. The docket sheet doesn't show show any further enforcement took place; the case was presumably closed in 2008.
