In September 2006, the Dallas (along with the San Antonio) office of the EEOC brought this Title VII suit against AlliedBarton Security Services LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. The complaint alleged that the defendant forced the claimant to involuntarily transfer out of his position with a reduction in pay/demotion that resulted in his constructive discharge because of his national origin (African). The case settled by entry of a consent decree in March 2007.
The one year consent decree required the defendant to refrain from discrimination, post notice, expunge the record of the claimant, provide any prospective employer of the claimant with a positive reference, provide "Civil Treatment" training for all employees on the requirements and prohibitions of Title VII, and pay the claimant $18,000 in damages. The docket sheet does not show any further enforcement; the case was presumably closed in 2008.
